Soeren Gade, Danish Minister of "Defence", was sent on the ground in the Danish military camp in Basra, Camp Einhe, as he officially ended Danish war troops participation in the occupation.

On July 31, the official ceremony that handed over the Danish responsibility to the remaining British occupation forces took place in Camp Einherjer, the Danish military camp inside the British Contingency Operations Base in Basra. Present at the ceremony was the war criminal Soeren Gade, Danish Minister of "Defence", together with journalists of the lackeyish Danish media which have been supporting the US-led aggression and occupation all along.

While addressing the Danish occupation forces, telling them that they had been doing "a great job" in Iraq, the alarm went off warning that shells and rockets had been fired at the occupation base by the Iraqi Resistance. Gade and the other Danish occupiers immediately threw themselves to the ground in order to avoid getting hit by fragments. It was all broadcasted on Danish national television. And the symbolism was of course more than evident.

The defeated Danish war criminals and occupiers were laying on the Iraqi desert with their filthy noses in the sand. The Iraqi Resistance decides in Iraq, even when the occupiers are allowed to hold a speech.

Since June 2003, this Danish battalion had been under British command in Basra. The Danish mercenaries for the US have now been withdrawn and replaced by four military helicopters which will be maintained by a 50-member Danish squad until December to assist the British occupation forces and the "Iraqi" puppet army seeking to contain the ever-growing resistance in southern Iraq.

Approximately 5,500 Danes have participated in the illegal, unjustifiable, immoral and bloody war and occupation of Iraq. Eight Danes have died; six killed in combat. The price of the Danish occupation of Iraq has been 2.5 billion Danish Kroner (450 million US dollars).
