Over the course of a dozen years before the invasion and occupation of Iraq, and ever since, one of the major operatives in the campaign has been one Peter W. Galbraith.

He has been in the middle of the drive to divide Iraq and destroy the leadership which withstood the onslaughts and brought prosperity to its people in a context of national dignity and self-determination.

Galbraith, who has worn many hats and used numerous covers ranging from State Department employee to Congressional Adviser to "humanitarian aid worker", is the son of a seminal USA figure, the late John Kenneth Galbraith. JK Galbraith, of Canadian origin, was an iconic figure among those in the "Liberal" and "Progressive" wing of the American bald eagle. As Ambassador to key US-Zionist ally India, he became one of a very few non-Indian citizens to win the "Padma Vibhushan", India's second-highest civilian award, in recognition of his services in cementing USA-India ties.

Galbraith the elder was a noted economic "Keynesian" who came out of Princeton via Harvard to perform invaluable services for a succession of American regimes as well as being author of a number of best-selling books. He worked on the Post-World War Two bombing surveys, which lauded the "proven success" of the bombings of Japan, including the dropping of nuclear weapons on Hiroshima and Nagasaki. In "American Capitalism" he had high praise for the prospects of what he called the "triumvirate" of "Big Business, Big Labor and Government" in generating "progress", maintaining that "Big Business" drives "technological progress" which results in "economic growth". He received a number of prestigious awards for his efforts including "Humanist of the Year" from the American Humanist Association in 1985. This writer caught his act in 1970 when he was touring American college campuses trying to fob off the American genocidal war against Vietnam as a "mistake", when I challenged him directly, stating that this was Imperialism and no "mistake", he baldly denied that America was Imperialist at all.

Following in his father's footsteps, Peter W. Galbraith became involved in the new wave of "post-Cold War" Imperialist shenanigans, breaking up nations and governments under the pretext of "humanitarian intervention". He participated directly in "saving" Yugoslavia by destroying it, chipping East Timor from Indonesia, and, working on his still-to-be-completed masterpiece as reflected in the title of his book bearing the title of his current project, "The End of Iraq".

The book chronicles his tour de farce in Iraq, replete with the usual litany of lies which served as pretext for the attempted destruction and division of Iraq.

Everything but the since-discredited (because found to be non- existent) presence of alleged "Weapons of Mass Destruction" is referred to in a breathless attempt to justify his "humanitarian vision". Lie after lie is spewed out with the usual lack of concrete and verifiable evidence: "He Gassed His Own People" is the title of Chapter Three. He "slaughtered" 182,000 Kurds at one throw. The Ba'ath were knockoffs of Hitler and Stalin, "racists" and "fascists" (the opposite is true and it is clear who the "Judaeo-Christian" racists and fascists have been for a long time).

At one point, the "Genocide" light bulb came on in his head and he decided that Saddam Hussein and the Ba'ath leadership were genocidal "criminals" who had to be removed and eliminated. He used the Kurds as a vehicle to proffer his patently false claims, even wrongly referring to them as the largest "people without a country" in the world when India alone has at least nine ethnic groups of greater demographic magnitude, many of them suffering increasingly harsh repression under the sway of an openly racist "Hindu" chauvinist regime.

The punch line comes in Chapter Ten, whose title is "The Three State Solution", in which Iraq is to be divided among Kurds, Shias and an unspecified "Sunni minority", presumably in the regions near Baghdad.

Meanwhile, Galbraith the younger continues to bay for the blood of the remaining Ba'ath leadership on CNN and elsewhere in the US government-controlled "media".

Such is the face and presentation of US Imperialism in its "New Era" as it seeks the destruction of Iraq and a second century of global domination. Galbraith continues to insist that the USA and India are models of multi-ethnic states that "work", even though (actual) "Genocide" was and is an operational byword for both of them.

The American people, mesmerized by the "Progressive" President-elect Barack Obama, are in for a rude awakening in what is slated to be another "Depression" for them. The spoliation of Africa and the Middle East are at the top of the Obama agenda, as repeatedly and most clearly expressed by the man himself.

The Ba'ath-led Resistance in Iraq will eventually overcome the onslaught on their country in a decisive and victorious manner. At some point Peter W. Galbraith may emulate his father and become "Humanist of the Year" in return for his services. Most of the rest of the world will be suffering the effects of "Globalization" in the meantime, until and unless they can gear up successful resistance to it.
