A group of Israeli settlers attacked on Saturday afternoon a Palestine Ambulance in Hebron old city in the southern part of the West Bank.

The ambulance belongs to the Red Crescent Society, the largest ambulance service in the Palestinian territories, witnesses and medics operating the ambulance said that the car sustained damage.

The Red Crescent Society announced that the ambulance was transporting a Palestinian patient from her house in the old city of Hebron that is located near an illegal Israeli settlement, the society added that the Israeli army was notified and gave the ok for the ambulance to be in the area.

Witnesses said that as soon as the ambulance arrived, the settlers attacked it with stones, they added that Israeli troops who were in the area did not stop the settlers and even protected them.

The Red Crescent Society added that the patient was moved to alocal hospital but still waiting an army permission to go back home.

In the old city of Hebron Israeli settlers have taken over Palestinian homes and made them as settlements outpost, the Israeli government considers them illegal outposts, but still, the army provides protection and enforces restrictions on the Palestinians movement there.
