Testimony: Settlers assault pregnant woman with sticks and stones, April '09

I am eight months’ pregnant. On Friday, 10 April, I took my sheep to graze in an area southwest of our village, not far from the cattle farm of the Ma’on settlement. I was with other women from the village, among them Amneh Sallem 'Eid al-Hazalin and Khadrah Suliman al-Hazalin, and a group of children under the age of 15, among them Tareq Sallem 'Eid al-Hazalin, 13, Musa Suliman al-Hazalin, 12, and 'Omar Suliman al-Hazalin, 10.
Around 8:00 A.M., we arrived to land owned by farmers from Yatta. We grazed the sheep and gathered plants we use for food. We were more than five hundred meters from the Ma'on settlement. We didn’t go close to the settlement. Around 9:00 A.M., we saw four settlers coming toward us from the settlement. Two of them went down into the wadi [valley] and headed to another group of shepherds, and two of them, who were masked, approached us.
The two who came toward us appeared to be young. They were holding sticks and had pistols on their hips. Amneh was standing close to me, and Khadrah was relatively far from us. When the settlers got to about thirty meters from us, they shouted at us in Hebrew. Their appearance frightened us, and we began to run away. The settlers chased us, and continued to shout at us as we ran.
Being pregnant, I couldn’t run fast. After about one hundred meters, the settlers caught me. One of them hit me in my right arm and left leg with his stick. The other settler threw a stone at me, which hit me in the left leg. Then one of them pushed me, and I fell onto some thorns. My arm and leg hurt a lot. When I fell, the two settlers left me and ran toward the farmers and other shepherds. I remained there, crying. I was in terrible pain.
After a few minutes, Amneh and Khadrah ran over to me and helped me get up. They lifted me up with the help of the children and laid me on the donkey that we had brought with us, and returned me to the village. I was in such great pain that I thought my arm has been broken. I was still crying when we reached the village. An Israeli ambulance came and the medical team gave me first-aid. Then the Israeli police and two army jeeps of the Civil Administration arrived. I told them what happened. Around 11:00 A.M., a Palestinian Red Crescent ambulance came and took me to 'Aliyah Government Hospital, in Hebron.
At the hospital, they examined me and X-rayed me. They found that my arm was not broken. I was very lucky, and the fetus was not harmed. I remained in the hospital for two or three hours, and then went home. My arm swelled up and I am still in pain, a week after the incident.
A Palestinian policeman at the hospital took my complaint. I did not go to the Israeli police because I don’t feel well enough, and because I need somebody to accompany me to Kiryat Arba to do that.
Testimony of Roqaya 'Ali Hamdan al-Hazalin, 22, married with one child, is a homemaker and a resident of Umm al-Kheir in Hebron District. Her testimony was given to Musa Abu Hashhash at the witness's house on 18 April 2009.

But instead of resolving it before the law, the s ettlers were taking the law into their own hands (and sticks). If this were whit e farmers attacking black homesteaders in the South after the Civil War, it woul d be clearly a case of trying to drive people off their land so that their increasing numbers (i.e. evidenced by the pregnancy) were reduced. Meanwhile the settlers are breeding like rabbits, uncharacteristically for most whites in the modern world. Their problem is that they cannot keep up with the Palestinians in the breeding department, so the only way they can rule over them is through an apartheid state (let's overlook the religious rationale - most of the Israeli Jews are basically secular, and probably a lot of Palestinians too, since this is hardly a bunch of Shariah enthusiasts). There will continue to be incidents like this, and then the random suicide bomber response, as well as taking up with radical causes to vindicate one's rights. All of these things are symptoms of the underlying demographic fact, which Zionists knew would be there from Day One. Since I am not an Apocalyptic type, I would say that the solution for Israeli Jews is to go greener and downsize, and to use less water so that Palestinian farmers will have what they need and have lived on for centuries. Perhaps Israel could be a rotating thing for its Jews - live there for retirement, vacations, sabbaticals, and choose to get along with the Palestinians and to help them with their own miscreants and radicals. But this does not look like it is anywhere on the agenda for the Likudniks, who have all the self-confidence of General Custer or (according to some of their voices) the KKK. It is a Babel of confusion. Anyone with a deep knowledge of American history understands that apart from the great battles of the Civil War, there were so many skirmishes to arrive at the current status (which is far from perfect). In the end, although the Indians did not get to have their own lifestyles, they are respected today for their understanding of the land, and as voices of wisdom. Nobody with any sense disrespects them anymore, and in the end, they live within our whole society. I hope that the Palestinians do even better than they did. But unfortunately, Israel is still at the stage of disrespect. |

Former Italian President Francesco Cossiga, who revealed the existence of Operat ion Gladio, has told Italy’s oldest and most widely read newspaper that the 9-11 terrorist attacks were run by the CIA and Mossad, and that this was common know ledge among global intelligence agencies. In what translates awkwardly into Engl ish, Cossiga told the newspaper Corriere della Sera:
“All the (intelligence services) of America and Europe know well that the disast rous attack has been planned and realized from the Mossad, with the aid of the Z ionist world in order to put under accusation the Arabic countries and in order to induce the western powers to take part in Iraq and Afghanistan.”
Cossiga was elected president of the Italian Senate in July 1983 before winning a landslide election to become president of the country in 1985, and he remained until 1992.
Cossiga’s tendency to be outspoken upset the Italian political establishment, an d he was forced to resign after revealing the existence of, and his part in sett ing up, Operation Gladio. This was a rogue intelligence network under NATO auspi ces that carried out bombings across Europe in the 1960s, 1970s and ’80s. Gladio ’s specialty was to carry out what they termed “false flag” operations-terror attacks that were blamed on their domestic and geopolitical opposition.
In March 2001, Gladio agent Vincenzo Vinciguerra stated, in sworn testimony, “Yo u had to attack civilians, the people, women, children, innocent people, unknown people far removed from any political game. The reason was quite simple: to for ce the public to turn to the state to ask for greater security.”
Cossiga first expressed his doubts about 9-11 in 2001, and is quoted by 9-11 res earcher Webster Tarpley saying “The mastermind of the attack must have been a so phisticated mind, provided with ample means not only to recruit fanatic kamikaze s, but also highly specialized personnel. I add one thing: it could not be accom plished without infiltrations in the radar and flight security personnel.”
Coming from a widely respected former head of state, Cossiga’s assertion that th e 9-11 attacks were an inside job and that this is common knowledge among global intelligence agencies is illuminating. It is one more eye-opening confirmation that has not been mentioned by America’s propaganda machine in print or on TV. N evertheless, because of his experience and status in the world, Cossiga cannot be discounted as a crackpot.
