August 7, 2012 - The Local Coordination Committees were able to document, thus far today, 170 martyrs, including 10 women and 18 children. 35 martyrs were reported in Homs, including 10 in Deir Baalba (most of them children) and 5 in Rastan, all from the same family; 33 martyrs were reported in Damascus and its suburbs; 33 in Aleppo, including 10 prisoners who were field-executed; 25 in Daraa; 15 in Idlib; 14 in Hama (most of whom were martyred during the Jarsisa massacre); 10 in Deir Ezzor, including 4 from the Free Syrian Army; and 5 in Lattakia...Riad Hijab, the defected former Prime Minister of Syria, arrived in Jordan after escaping through barbed wire and having been surrounded in the Governorate of Daraa immediately after announcing his defection. Hamah: Kafr Naboud: Hamdo Shalish aged 27, a member of the Free Syrian Army, was martyred during clashes on the Motorway leading to Aleppo.
Idlib: Jisr Al-Shoghour: Heavy shelling using mortars on the town of Al-Basheryah, and a number of wounded and martyrs was reported.
Aleppo: Free Syrian Army has targeted Managh Military Airport, with reports of clashes between the Free Syrian Army and Assad forces.
Aleppo: A large number of wounded were reported as a result of fierce shelling in the Al-Fardos district.
Damascus Suburbs: Zabadany: A number of wounded were reported. The residents are unable to help them due to the continued heavy shelling for more than 4 hours. It is estimated that 3 shells are landing per minute.
Aleppo: it is reported that there are a number of wounded due to heavy shelling, several shells landed on Alfardous street.
Hama: Um Al-Thohour: Huzayfa Abdulrazak from Abo Al-Alamain brigade was martyred; he was shot by Assad forces, he is originally from the town of Helfaia.
Damascus: Naher Aishah: A number of martyrs and several wounded were reported; the victims were crossing the Damascus-Daraa Highway when they were shot by a group of shabiha in a car. The corpses and wounded are still on the highway, as a sniper is shooting at anyone who attempts to approach the area.
Damascus Suburbs: Mleiha: A funeral is taking place for martyr Yousef Khaled Al-Hallak, the Muezzin of the Dalati Mosque. He was martyred when regime forces stormed the mosque.
Aleppo: Kalasah: Shelling from Al-Ramousah area on Al-Kalaseh district using heavy artillery has restarted; several shells landed near Al-Bedar and Gamal Mosques.
Hama: Jabreen: Defected Private Jihad Obeid Subhi Al-Dabaan, 20, was martyred in the village of Umm Thohour in Idlib, 20 days after his defection.
Hasakeh: Shadadi: A raids campaign was launched by regime forces in the city.
Raqqa: An evening demonstration started near Omar Bin Alkhatab School calling for Freedom and in Support of devastated cities.

Jableh: Regime forces launch an arrest campaign in Fayd neighborhood after a demonstration set out from Hay mosque.

Deir Ezzor: Mayaden: Abdullah Ghassan Al-Sharabi was martyred due to his wound from shrapnel of a shell from yesterday. He was buried in Al-Shuhada (Martyrs) Cemetery in Boleel village.
Homs: Qusair: Mahmoud Deeb Balout was martyred due to the heavy shelling of the city, Mahmoud was from Aatifieh village.
Homs: Qusair: Defected soldier Ahmad Issa, from Sabina in Damascus Suburbs, was martyred.
Deir Ezzor: Mayaden: Tawfiq Ghassan Al-Farij was martyred due to helicopter shelling of the city.
Homs: Security forces and pro-regime thugs (shabiha) committed a massacre and killed workers in the Jandar Resort. The number of martyrs reached 16 thus far, among the martyrs with documented names were: Ahmed Al-Nasser, Khader Al-Khaledl, Mtanias Mikhael, Bassam Taqla, Joseph Taqla, Girgis Taqla, Mikhael Taqla, Mtanis Al-Hajleh, Ahmed Al-Mustafa and Mohamad Hjoz. Security forces and shabiha took the bodies to a the Military Hospital in Homs.

Aleppo: Bab: Alaa Subhi Altamr was Martyred while he was defending civilians in Salah Aldeen district.
Aleppo: Ahmad Aasaf, a member of the FSA (Free Sham Batalion), was martyred in Salah Al-Dein neighborhood.
Damascus: Jobar: Three corpses were found in Parliament Sqaure with their hands tied behind their back, one of the bodies had the bottom part of the body cutt of and thrown nearby.
Daraa: Basr Al-Harir: Fierce clashes between the Free Syrian Army and the regime army in Al-Hurriya (Freedom) square in the town's center.
Daraa: Lujah: Intense artillery and rocket shelling is nonstop, and targeting villages of the Lujah area.

Daraa: Busra Alsham: Rabeaa Abdulrahman Alakel martyred as a result of shrabnell, she was burried today in the afternoon.
Damascus: Jober: Big Explosions shock the district as a result of Bomabardment using military Holicopters.
Damascus, Jober: young man Mohamed Eid Suker was martyred as a result of wounds sustained during the shelling on Kafer Batna yesterday.
Aleppo: Tal Rifaat: Mohamad Zaher Dandal, a youth from the Free Syrian Army, was martyred during clashes in the Salaheddine district.
Deir Ezzor: Four members of a Free Syrian Army battalion were martyred during the operation at the Al-Ward oil field.
Lattakia: Masyaf Salma: Hasan Hamza, 20, was martyred during the regime's indiscriminate shelling in the area. He was a defected soldier from the Al-Raml Al-Janoubi district.
Daraa: Nahta: Wael Mafaalani and Majdi Al-Jabar were martyred as a result of the regime army's gunfire.
Homs: Rastan: All the children of the Al-Ashtar family were martyred: Abdel Aziz Al-Ashtar; Adibeh Al-Ashtar, 7; Moussa Al-Ashtar; and Mrs. Adibeh Al-Ashtar, 70, as a result of shelling.
Idlib: Ariha: Mahmoud Bin Mohamad and Ted Najjar were martyred during shelling in the city.
Damascus: Rukneddine: Sheyzad Jankabar Wanly has been missing for a week; he had been wanted by state security forces.
Aleppo: Warplanes shell the Bab Al-Hadid and Bab Al-Nasr areas.

Damascus Suburbs: Irbeen: Fierce helicopter shelling was reported in the area.
Daraa: Basra Al-Harir: Khaled Al-Adil Al-Hariri, a youth, was martyred, and dozens of wounded were reported during the Free Syrian Army's defense of area residents.
Idlib: Hafsarja: Hussam Ali Asaad and Mohamad Ibn Abbas Assad were martyred, and others were wounded, during the regime's aerial shelling over the Maar Tamsareen farms.
Hama: Madiq Citadel: Heavy helicopter shelling at homes was reported.
Aleppo: Helicopter shelling was reported in the Sheikh Maqsoud district, and a number of shells landed in the ancient English Cemetery.
Aleppo: Hamdanieh: Mahmoud Ahmad Hania, 24, was martyred when a sniper shot him along the Hamdanieh highway.
Aleppo: Tal Rifaat: Heavy artillery shelling from the Managh military aiport was reported in the city.
Daraa: Tafas: Elderly woman Naeema Ahmad Abo Dayes and young man Osama Mwafeq Al-Rashdan were martyred from wounds sustained from shrapnel of artillery that shelled the city days ago.
Lattakia: Ramel Janoobu: Six tanks have entered Talaee military camp accompanied by several security force and Shabiha vehicles.
Daraa: Naheta: Qassem Mohammad Qassem was martyred due in shelling of the town.
Daraa Balad: Issa Ismaeel alQtayfan, Thiyab Mostafa alQtayfan, and Ahmad Marwan alSafer were martyred when a mortar shell fell on their place of work in Arbaeen neighborhood.
Damascus Suburbs: Kafr Batna: The city is witnessing a mass exodus due to the presence of masses of military and security reinforcements; residents fear the city will be stormed.
Aleppo: Forces of the Airforce Intelligence commit a massacre by killing dozens of detainess in the branch.
Daraa: Basr al-Harir: Dozens were injured, among them critical cases, in attempts by securty forces to storm the northern districts of the town amid intense and non-stop gunfire. This is in turn, prevented residents from being able to reach the injured and save them and resulted in intense clashes betwen the Free Syrian Army and the regime's army. Residents of the town fear an impending massacre.
Hama: Sahel Ghab: Intense helicopter shelling of the villages of Jabal Shahshabo.
Homs: The number of those martyred in Deir Baalba neighborhood due to intense shelling has risen to 10, most of whom are children. Identified among the martyrs are: Malak Abo Shiffeh, Ahmad Thukoor Kanaan, Emad Abdullah Kanaan, and Ameen al-Yaseen. In addition, several were injured, among them critical cases, and there are no hospitals to save them.
Damascus Suburbs: Intense helicopter and artillery shelling of Sayeda Zaynab, Thayabiya and Hjeira.

Deir Ezzor: Renewed intense shelling of Sfeira Tahtani and smoke columns rise in skies due to shelling, in addition several shells fell near the paper factory and in Hosen village.

Damascus Suburbs: Jisreen: The number of martyrs in the city has risen to 14, identified among them are: Adnan Mahrous Darweesh, Hasan Al-Taweel, Mohammad Hasan Al-Taweel, Saeed Mohammad Dareel, Anas Majed Al-Shamaa, Mahmoud Salah Rabee, Mudrek Al-Khateeb, Ali Darkhabani, and Mohammad Kheir Reihan; all of whom were from Jisreen, in addition to 5 unidenitified martyrs from outside of the city.
Raqqa: Twenty-three elements defected from the Department of Immigration and Passports, the defected Police Chief of the Province safely reached Turkey. This occured as the Military Council of the city announced the liberation of the border town of Sulook.
Homs: Rastan: Intense non-stop shelling with rockets and heavy machine guns of the city.
Daraa: Sheikh Miskeen: Over 15 tanks and armored vehicles enter the city from the direction of Nawa, residents fear an impending massacre.
Homs: Reports that three were martyred among them children, their names were unable to be confirmed due to the intense artillery and mortar shelling of Deir Baalba district.
Idlib: Maaret Masreen: Young man Nader Mohammad Harmoush was martyred in the rocket shelling of the city.
Idlib: Kafrnabel: Destruction of a large number of homes in the warplane shelling of the region of Harra Janoobia.

Lattakia: Four martyrs, including two women were martyred after regime's shabiha targeted a bus at Khan Al-Joz at the junction of Rabeaa alley. The passengers are from jisr Al-Shoughour, Idlib. Martyr Hanan Shahedy, 28, was identified among the martyrs in Najya village.
